I would choose Ohio Virtual Academy I like how they posted a lot of information on the results of students who graduated from their programs and how those students enrolled in College soon after. I liked how they hosted many community events and how their students were acknowledged for distinguished learning and recognized by the national honors society. I like how they had a very easy FAQ section and how they went into details about myths of virtual schooling, to help remedy any doubts a parent might have.
I would not choose Virtual Community School of Ohio because their website did not provide enough information to make me feel like this school would be successful for my children to attend. It was also inappropriate for me because it had a lot of options, too many options to where I felt like a child's education needs may be overlooked. It had options for adults to get a high school diploma and etc, and it seemed like it caused more money then the other programs which were free for everything and had way more resources.

Assistive Technology for students with visual impairments
I choose to write about learning disabilities of students
who are blind or visually impaired and how their education is effected by this
disability. A student who has a visual disability cannot depend on their sense
of sight for learning and instead have to use their other senses to acquire
knowledge. This is difficult for many because sight is the main way children
learn and gain experience of the world around them. Children who are blind tend
to be afraid of the world around them and also have social issues due to the
fact that they haven’t learned to trust the unknown and they are normally completely
dependent on people with sight to tell them how the world works and what they
can or cannot do.
One way AT’s can help students with visual issues is by
providing programs that convert text to audio. Audio books help blind students
understand and comprehend course work. They are the voice/audio versions of
text and other school related works. Having an audio version of school works
makes it a lot easier to understand the subject being taught and do a lesson
along with the rest of the class. This is a great tool because a student can
just put in headphones and use audio text in a class of their peers and learn
exactly what the peers are learning.
I think this is awesome and I think the peers would be
jealous of the students who get to listen to books and text and don’t have to
sit and read them. If a child has a slight visual issue large print books may
be hard to come across but a screen magnifier can easily be downloaded onto the
students’ personal and school computer in order to complete their work. Below is a link to a website that describes
these AT options in greater detail.
I think these AT’s should be accessible in all classrooms
because they cannot only help students with learning disabilities and who are
visually impaired but they can also help the entire student body learn easier.
Reading a book is a lot harder for some children but sitting down and relaxing
while having the book read to them is a lot more effective for some in
processing information. I think AT is a great way to open the door to endless possibilities
in future classroom learning and I believe it shouldn’t be limited to children
with disabilities but made accessible to every child if it has a chance to help
them be a more successful student.

Pic monkey
It was really fun experiencing all of the features on pic monkey, I liked all the effects and collages. I was able to turn my picture into a masterpiece and it was fun tweaking around until I found the right combo to make my pic kinda silly but still recognizable. I am really looking forward to using this site to make collages and other picture art.
My Go Animate Video
Summer Bummer by dayona evans on GoAnimate
I choose to make my video about a student feeling anxiety in school on the first day back after a dreadful summer of summer classes after not doing so well in the previous school year. The reason I choose this scenario is because I know a lot of students when they don't do well in school they dread coming. In this video my goal was to get the student excited about learning and showing her that I was going to be a supportive teacher and help her plan for success. I think it's good for teachers to keep kids excited about school, especially since they have to go to the place for most of their childhood.

My Prezi
Prezi was really amazing I am so happy to have come across this tool for teaching. In my prezi below I went over my reasons for wanting to teach in the early childhood, elementary level stage. I discussed the goals of early education as well as some of its challenges. I also explained how I planned to overcome these challenges. Ideally I'd like to teach kindergarten however my ultimate goal is opening up my own institute for early childhood education. Prezi was a little hard to work with but overall I am happy with my prezi and I plan on in the future perfecting this tool.
